New albums, new videos, new projects - October 13, 2006
Tons of new things to report.
First off, 14mercy regretfully announces the removal of 14 Mike Macharyas albums from iTunes. iTunes claimed that Macharyas' celebrity-titled songs and albums created confusion in the market. By doing this, Apple has shown favoritism towards their more popular artists, and shitting on the independent one. As much of a downer as this is, please remember there are other outlets to buy Mike Macharyas downloads, including Rhapsody, Napster (on select albums), Musicnet, and dozens of others. Please visit those sites and support the cause.
This does not mean the end of Mike Macharyas albums. It means a different promotional strategy will be put in place for them. Even the digital giant of Apple iTunes will not silence 14mercy's most notorious artist.
The good news is Mike Macharyas latest collection, Rihanna is out and IS currently on iTunes. Go figure.
Secondly, the YouTube site that is now sweeping the nation features three videos directed by 14mercy founder NNMaddox. These three videos are
And in a shocking first, a FAN has made a video using a clip of Mike Macharyas' track "Anderson Cooper."
Normally we do not promote the use of copyright-infringing material, but like the Cranberries once said: Everybody else is doing it, so why can't we?
Finally, look for NNMaddox's new record, Psychedelic Ransom Notes in the coming days! It is his best work yet!

And yes, the album artwork for Georgia Home Boy's When I'm Twenty-Four has finally been corrected!
In other 14mercy news, NNMaddox is putting the finishing touches on his next solo album, Psychedelic Ransom Notes. Expect that album, along with one more Macharyas album, Rihanna in the coming weeks.
Stagger Lee has another double shot of albums coming. Lee recorded over 20 songs with producer NNMaddox that incorporate elements of Southern Rock along with traditional country, with a little bluegrass and blues mixed in.
Reverend Jenkins is putting together material for his first solo album since Georgia Home Boy's demise. NNMaddox calls the preliminary tracks "some of the most original pieces I've ever had the pleasure to work on."
For those inquiring about The Abandoned Nutsack retrospective, NNMaddox promises "it will happen this year. That's the only thing I can say. So many other projects have caused me to put it on the backburner. But it will see the light of day in 2006."

Latest Projects - February 9, 2006
Here's the latest news in the 14mercy camp:
New Mike Macharyas albums on the way! On Christmas Eve 2005, Macharyas recorded ten albums worth of new material. (H)aig did a wonderful job directing and recording the session and NNMaddox finished the tracks, producing ten more amazing masterpieces.
NNMaddox's former band, The Abandoned Nutsack, may find its way onto the market again, ten years after its formation. Jade St. Pierre, another 14mercy artist, coaxed Maddox into rediscovering the classic albums that were first released in late '90s.
"I was able to gain a newfound respect for the work Skidmarks and I did after so many years of trying to run from it. I think I can appreciate it more NOW than I did when we actually wrote the songs. I look forward to putting the music out there again and letting a new generation of fans find it."-NNMaddox
St. Pierre is doing more than just convincing Maddox to re-release Nutsack material. His currently untitled debut album is in the process of being completed. An early demo of the album found its way into collectors hands last summer. 14mercy would like to stress that this is NOT the same versions that will be appearing on the upcoming album.
